Girl Scout Park Dedication Ceremony

Girl Scout Troop # 2237, under the leadership of Carol Hanson, planted trees at the park between Huntington Avenue and Windsor Place. This helped the Troop complete their “Breathe Journey”. It is a small corner park located in the Incorporated Village of Lynbrook. At the time, the park was unnamed and the Troop suggested the idea of having the park named after Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts. On March 12, 2012, Girl Scouts celebrates their 100th anniversary.

The Scouts are planning to have over 150 people in attendance, along with an honor guard, a twenty-five person chorus, and several dignitaries from the Girl Scouts.
