Malverne Downing School Students Host Mitten Tree Drive

The drive benefits Big Brothers, Big Sisters, a non-profit organization to help children.

Students and staff at Maurice W. Downing Primary School in the Malverne School District have been making the season warmer for others by hosting a mitten tree drive throughout December to benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

To date, approximately 50 hats, gloves and scarves have been donated and are being displayed on a “tree” until being delivered to the organization prior to the holiday recess.
