No. 56: Free Fire Truck Rides

One of 100 things to do in the village.

No. 56 in the Patch series, “,” is to take the kids to the Earle Avenue parking field #8 for free fire truck rides on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 12 to 3 p.m.

The is offering the free rides for Lynbrook residents. This is an event that the children and families of Lynbrook look forward to every year. The fire truck rides have been a Lynbrook tradition since the 1960’s and long-time residents look forward to carrying on a tradition that has lasted decades.

Having grown up in Lynbrook, this was an event that was definitely a highlight for the holiday season each year. When I had children of my own, it was something they looked forward to as well.

There are always surprises so make sure you don’t miss this fun event for all! After you have taken the trip down memory lane with the kids, take a ride around Lynbrook and see if you can find a house that could win the “” contest, which would give our local schools $100,000.

If you have a decorated house this holiday season, do not forget to send your pictures and help Lynbrook win. To read all the details please click here.

Check out photos from last year's event above and tell us if you plan to attend this year in the comments.
