Argument Leads to Crash in West Hempstead

A spat between car occupants causes them to collide into large tree.

A SUV crashed into a large tree and parked car while driving along Walnut Street in West Hempstead Wednesday afternoon.

According to the driver, a 21-year-old male, he was having an argument with his passenger and out of frustration, went to hit the car's horn but instead lost control of his vehicle. The car left the roadway near Madison Avenue and crossed the front lawns of three homes before making impact.

Nassau County Police and West Hempstead firefighters were both on the scene. No one was seriously injured.
