Car Strikes Man Near Lynbrook North Middle School

Lynbrook volunteer firefighters respond to Sept. 12 accident.

A man was struck by a car on Merrick Road in Lynbrook on Sept. 12 near North Middle School.

The victim was hit by a passing vehicle as he was about to get into his own car. He was thrown to the ground and sustained injuries to his left leg. The passing car then hit a parked vehicle. 

The Lynbrook Volunteer Fire Department's Emergency Medical Company responded to the scene, stabilized the injured man and transported him to a nearby hospital. The driver of the car did not need medical assistance.
