Construction Worker Hurt at Former Stop & Shop
Monday morning fall results in injuries on Woodfield Road.

A worker was injured Monday morning at a construction site at the former Stop & Shop on Woodfield Road in West Hempstead.
Police and EMS were called to the scene around 10:15 a.m. and found an injured worker who reportedly had taken a fall from almost 20 feet.
EMS personnel had originally called for a helicopter to airlift the injured worked from the site but weather conditions prevented its use. The man was transported by Nassau County EMS to an area hospital.
The extent of his injuries was unknown.
