I believe that this is a welfare hotel as well so they get big money from the state. Next time lets have andrew cuomo sign bills there!

The asset is the taxes they pay. Always follow the money.

I have relatives who live in the are of the motel. There are constant arrests, prostitutes, johns and pimps going in and out all night. The Lynbrook Police, like many other small town or village departments are not pro-active and are mostly responsive in their operations. (exceptions: parking tickets and other vehicle violations) The Capri Hotel is a large tax base that Lynbrook wants to keep. An aqbandoned motel pays no taxes and is an eye sore. Wtih the present economy, there would be few takers to buy the property and convert it to housing.

How many crimes must be committed at this place before it is closed???? How many prositiution arrests, rapes, armed robberies, etc is required before it is shut for good??? Mike L mentioned the tax base keeps it in business... If that is true, that is really pathetic.
