Cops: Woman Shoved, Robbed While Leaving Work Friday Morning

Woman was walking to her car in West Hempstead when she was shoved to the ground and robbed, cops said.

A woman was knocked down and robbed as she left work in West Hempstead Friday morning, reported Nassau County Police.

Cops said the 24-year-old had just left work on Hempstead Turnpike at 9:30 a.m. and was walking to her car when she was knocked down. The subject grabbed her pocketbook, which contained cash and personal items, ran down South Greenway, police said. He was last seen hopping into a white four-door sedan driven by a second man, cops said.

The woman sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention, cops said.
