Crime Report: Drug Store Burglarized; Marijuana Arrests

Lynbrook police release weekly crime report.

The following is the weekly crime report submitted by the Lynbrook Police Department. All information is courtesy of the police.

Arrests

  • On Nov. 24 at 11:05 a.m., Damian Garth Crawford, 22, of Laurelton, was arrested on Merrick Road and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
  • On Nov. 24 at 9 a.m., a 17-year-old male was arrested on Hollywood Avenue and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
  • On Nov. 25 at 9:45 a.m., Timmy Massa, 46, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle after a car accident on Scranton Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • On Nov. 27 at 2:10 a.m., Nicholas Mehr, 19, of Hewlett Harbor, was arrested on Atlantic Avenue and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
  • On Nov. 29 at 2:10 a.m., Jimmy Sergile, 34, of Cambria Heights, was arrested on Sunrise Highway and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and having a suspended registration.

  • On Nov. 21 between 9 a.m. and 10:50 a.m., $3,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from an apartment on Ocean Avenue in Lynbrook.
  • On Nov. 22 at 8:25 a.m., an unknown male subject robbed $90 worth of merchandise from a drug store on Merrick Road in Lynbrook. Subject fled in a gray 2007 Chrysler Sebring. The subject is described as a male black, approximately 20-30 years of age, 5'6", thin build, and wearing a brown coat, brown knit cap and tan pants.

  • The Nassau County Police Department reported 87 arrests of alleged drunken drivers over the Thanksgiving weekend, considered by police to be between 5 p.m. on Nov. 24 to 8 a.m. on Nov. 29.
