Crime Report: Identity Theft, Criminal Mischief Charge

Recent arrests and case reports, as reported by the Lynbrook Police Department.

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

At 9:17pm on Dec. 13, Michael A. Borchick, 26, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with first degree criminal contempt  on Garden Drive.

At 1:05am on Dec. 19, Daniel Martinez Jr, of Lancaster PA, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unsafe lane change and unlicensed operation (warrant) on Ocean Ave.

Identity Theft – At 10:45am on Dec. 14, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) did make unauthorized charges on their visa debit card. The total amount of the charges is $788.

Burglary – At 4:45pm on Dec. 14, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) removed an air conditioner from a first floor window and entered the residence at 88 Ocean Ave. The person(s) removed two laptop computers, two credit cards, an IPod touch and $10 from the residence. The total loss is $1,410. The burglary occurred between 1:30pm and 4:45pm on Dec. 14. 

Criminal Mischief – At 3:00pm on Dec. 10, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) slashed the tires on their 2009 Toyota which was parked in the rear of 381 Sunrise Hwy. The value of the tires is $210.

Grand Larceny – At 3:30pm on Dec. 16, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) removed their pocketbook containing their NYS driver’s license, seven assorted credit cards and personal paperwork, at 39 Atlantic Ave. The complainant reported that three of the credit cards were then used to purchase items valued at $1,100.

Identity Theft – At 10:45am on Dec. 17, the complainant reports that an unknown person(s) opened a Kohl’s credit card in their name. The unknown(s) then used the card to make $858.05 in charges.
