Crime Report: Local Business Reports Fraud of $32K, HSBC Bank Robbed

The following information was supplied by the Lynbrook Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On May 13 at 11:05 p.m., Leonardo Ariasmolina, 27, of Valley Stream, N.Y., was arrested on Hendrickson Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle.
  • On May 15 at 2:50 a.m., Carlton Bunion, Jr., 31, of Freeport, N.Y., was arrested on Merrick Road in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle.
  • On May 16 at 12:17 a.m., Eric Madrid, 22, of Far Rockaway, N.Y., was arrested on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and circumventing an Interlock Device for his motor vehicle. The subject attempted to flee on foot upon being stopped but was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.
  • On May 17 at 8:38 p.m., Michelle Brochon, 25, of Oceanside, N.Y., was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle. He also had two open arrest warrants from the City of Long Beach, police said.
  • On May 17 at 11:45 p.m., Alexandra Demirakos, 18, of Oceanside, N.Y., was arrested on Starks Place in Lynbrook and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
  • On May 19 at 2:10 a.m., Lawrence Abruzzo, 24, of Lynbrook, N.Y., was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook on an open arrest warrant from Nassau County District Court.

  • On May 15, a Lynbrook resident reported that $503 was taken from her bank account at an ATM in Palm Springs, Calif.
  • On May 18, a Lynbrook business owner reported that $32,918.00 had been taken from a personal bank account by a former employee.
  • On May 20 at 3:55 p.m., HSBC Bank on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook was robbed by an unknown subject. Nine-hundred dollars in cash was reported stolen. For more on this story, .
