Crime Report, Pt. II: Multiple Shoplifting Arrests, DWI

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

North Lawrence

- On Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m., an unknown person(s) removed property from a vehicle at Circle A Convenience Store on Rockaway Tpke.

- On Oct. 25 at 6:15 p.m., an individual from Brooklyn was arrested for shoplifting on Rockaway Tpke. 

Cedahurst

- Sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. on Oct. 26-27, an unknown person(s) removed property from a vehicle on Lincoln St. 

Franklin Square

- On Oct. 26 at 6:05 p.m. two individuals from Franklin Square were arrested for shoplifting at Pathmark on Franklin Ave. 

- On Oct. 24 at 8 p.m., an unknown person(s) threw eggs at a vehicle, causing damage on New York Ave. 

Oceanside

- On Oct. 24, an unknown person(s) painted graffiti on a building on Royal Ave. 

- On Oct. 27 at 7:54 p.m., an individual from Oceanside was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's on Long Beach Rd.

- Sometime between 7 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 26-27, unknown person(s) punctured both driver's side tires of a vehicle on Gilbert St. 

Valley Stream

- Sometime between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. on Oct. 27-28, an unknown person(s) removed property from a vehicle on Rottkamp St. 

- On Oct. 23 at 7:35 p.m. an individual from Brooklyn was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's.

- Sometime between 12 p.m and 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, unknown person(s) removed property from the backyard of a house on Edna Ct. 

- On Oct. 24 at 1:23 p.m., an individual from Brooklyn was arrested for shoplifting at JC Penney.

- Sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Oct. 19, unknown person(s) removed property from an unattached garage on Brown St. 

- On Oct. 25 at 3:45 p.m., an individual from Laurenton was arrested for shoplifting at H&M in the Green Acres Mall. 

-  On Oct. 27 at 8:02 p.m., an individual from Jamaica was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl's.  

- On Oct. 28 at 3:11 p.m., an individual from Jamaica was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart on Green Acres Rd. 

- Sometime between 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Oct. 19, an unknown person(s) removed property from the end of a driveway on Orleans Rd. 

- On Oct. 29 at 3:34 p.m., an individual from St. Albans was arrested for shoplifting at Bed Bath & Beyond at the Green Acres Mall. 

 - On Oct. 23 at 4:20 a.m., Lena M. Martinez, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with DWI on W. Merrick Rd.
