Crime Watch: Lakeview Home Burglarized, Cars Vandalized in West Hempstead

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

BURGLARIES

Between Feb. 7 and Feb. 23, a home on Dekoven Street in Lakeview was burglarized.

A burglary occurred on Feb. 27 at a home on Shelbourne Drive in Franklin Square.

GRAND LARCENIES

A vehicle that had been parked in front of a residence on Prescott Street in North Valley Stream was stolen on Feb. 23.

A vehicle was stolen between Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 while parked in the driveway of a home on Foster Avenue in Valley Stream.

A car was stolen on Feb. 27 while parked on Courthouse Road in Franklin Square.

Tires and rims were stolen off of four cars between Feb. 23 and Feb. 25. They had been parked on Diellen Lane and Borfeld Boulevard in Elmont, and E. Parkwold Drive and Washington Avenue in Valley Stream.

LARCENY/OTHER THEFTS

A license plate was stolen off a vehicle parked on Elm Street in Valley Stream on Feb. 10.

A Honda ECU Computer was stolen from a car parked on Tarboro Street in Elmont on Feb. 26.

Criminal Mischief

Nassau County Police's Fifth Squad is investigating multiple incidents of criminal mischief to vehicles that occurred in West Hempstead between Feb. 23 and Feb. 24. The suspect(s) smashed the windows of cars parked on Park Avenue, Arden Boulevard, Wilson Street, Maple Street, Jackson Avenue and School Street.

An unknown person slashed the driver-side-rear tire of a car parked on Crown Avenue in Elmont between Feb. 20 and Feb. 21.

The rear tires of a vehicle parked on Shipley Avenue in Valley Stream were punctured between Feb. 21 and Feb. 22.
