Lakeview Firefighters Respond to Blaze Inside Hempstead Lake State Park

Vehicle catches fire on Lakeside Drive early Thursday morning.

The Lakeview Fire Department was called to the report of a car fire in Hempstead Lake State Park early Thursday morning.

The vehicle caught fire on Lakeside Drive, just south of the Southern State Parkway. No one was injured in the blaze.

Nassau County and New York State Park police were also on scene.
