Lakeview, Malverne Fire Teams Triumph at Tourney
The Malverne Chipmunks and Lakeview Sparks place at Nassau County Tournament.
The Malverne and Lakeview Volunteer Fire Departments both had stellar performances at the Nassau County Tournament and Parade held last weekend.
The Malverne Chipmunks drill team took home the championship trophy and the Lakeview Sparks finished among the top five in the Old Fashioned Fire Drill tournament held in Hicksville on July 9.
The Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department won the Class A and were named the Overall Champions of the Nassau County Parade, a marching competition hosted by the Glenwood Fire Company. More than 70 fire departments in Nassau County participated in the annual event.
