Nassau PD: DWI Arrests, Items Stolen at Local High Schools

A weekly rundown of arrests and crimes reported in the Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

DWI

  • Angel Aroche, 59, of North Valley Stream, was arrested on Jan. 20 at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Peachgrove Drive in West Hempstead for DWI.
  • Keith M. Miles, 18, of Hewlett, was arrested on Jan. 16 on Mill Road in Hewlett for DWI.
  • Keith A. Vassallo, 23, of Valley Stream, was arrested on Jan. 16 at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Brookside Drive in Valley Stream for DWI.
  • Deborah Schreiber, 43, of Hempstead was arrested on Jan. 16 at the intersection of Hempstead Avenue and Maplewood Street in West Hempstead for DWI.
  • Marla F. Eisenberg, 24, of Valley Stream, was arrested on Jan. 17 on S. Central Avenue in Valley Stream for DWI.
  • Tainesha Gouin, 23, of Elmont, was arrested on Jan. 19 at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Monroe Street in Franklin Square for DWI.
  • Luis Rivera, 29, of Far Rockaway, was arrested on Jan. 19 at the intersection of Rockaway Turnpike and Argyle Road in Cedarhurst for DWI.
  • Jean P. Dorga, 36, of Elmont, was arrested on Jan. 20 at the intersection of 237th Street and Linden Boulevard in Elmont for DWI.
  • Rahsaan A. Patrick, 23, of Jamaica Queens, was arrested on Jan. 20 at the intersection of Westminster Road and Fairlawn Avenue in West Hempstead for DWI.
  • John S. Uroquizo, 22, of North Long Beach, was arrested on Jan. 21 at the intersection of Front Street and Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead for DWI.
  • Blissdel J. Ramjohn, 20, of East Meadow, was arrested on Jan. 21 on Linden Boulevard in Elmont for DWI.

LARCENIES

  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a license plate off of a vehicle parked at West Hempstead High School (400 Nassau Blvd.) on Jan. 19.
  • An unknown suspect(s) entered and ransacked several vehicles parked on Locust Street in Valley Stream between Jan. 20 and Jan. 21 and stole luggage with clothing, which was late recovered, purses and CDs.
  • An unknown suspect damaged a vehicle parked on Midwood Street in Valley Stream between Jan. 16 and Jan. 17, and stole a pocketbook, which was later recovered near the location of the crime.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole cash out of a vehicle parked on Stuart Road in Valley Stream between Jan. 19 and Jan. 21.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a Bluetooth device, jet pack and a GPS out of a vehicle that was parked on Stevens Place in  Lawrence between Jan. 12 and Jan. 17.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole an iPod out of an unlocked vehicle and $10 out of another car parked on Acapulco Street in Atlantic Beach between Jan. 18 and Jan. 19.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a license plate off of a vehicle that was parked on W. End Avenue in Inwood between Jan. 18 and Jan. 19.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole $10 out of a car parked on Longworth Avenue in Woodmere on Jan. 20.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole wires and filters out of a vehicle parked on Connie Lane in Elmont between Jan. 12 and Jan. 14.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a check book and loose change out of a vehicle parked on Keene Lane in Woodsburgh between Jan. 19 and Jan. 20.

PETIT LARCENIES

  • A 16-year-old Jamaica, Queens boy was arrested for shoplifting on Jan. 16 at the Macy's store in Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a hammer drill from a location on Emporia Avenue in Elmont on Jan. 16.
  • Mikhail A. Zavurkov, 43, of Rego Park, was arrested on Jan. 17 for shoplifting at the Costco store located at 605 Rockaway Tpke. in North Lawrence.
  • Vartha Marcelin, 22, of Elmont, and Rachelle Desinore, 23, of St Albans, were arrested on Jan. 17 for shoplifting at the JC Penney store in Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • An unknown male suspect stole sixcases of beer and various bags of chips on Jan. 19 from the CVS store on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square.
  • Two 16-year-old girls, one from Jamaica, Queens and the other from Rosedale, were both arrested on Jan. 19 for shoplifting at the JC Penney store located inside Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • Edwin Rodriguez, 28, of Freeport, was arrested on Jan. 20 for shoplifting at the Stop & Shop located at 50 Cherry Valley Ave. in West Hempstead.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a cell phone from the Verizon store located on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence on Jan. 22.
  • Piotr Dziedzic, 30, of Ridgewood Queens, was arrested on Jan. 22 for shoplifting at the Lowes store located at 253-01 Rockaway Blvd. in Meadowmere.
  • An unknown suspect(s) stole a jacket, iPhone and $20 cash from inside a classroom at Valley Stream Central High School on Fletcher Avenue on Jan. 23.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

  • An unknown suspect(s) threw eggs on Jan. 16 at a residence located on Kingston Boulevard in North Long Beach.
  • An unknown suspect(s) damaged four tires of a vehicle parked at Belmont Racetrack (2150 Hempstead Tpke.) in Elmont between Jan. 15 and Jan. 20.
  • An unknown suspect(s) damaged the driver side window of a vehicle parked on Hempstead Gardens Drive in Lakeview between Jan. 15 and Jan. 16.
  • An unknown suspect(s) damaged the driver side window of a vehicle parked at Lakeview Transmission (539 Eagle Ave.) in Lakeview between Jan. 15 and Jan. 16, and stole a GPS from inside.
  • An unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of one vehicle and damaged another car that were both parked on Hoffman Avenue in Elmont between Jan. 17 and Jan. 19.
  • An unknown suspect(s) damaged a vehicle on Jan. 18 that was parked on Rockaway Parkway in Valley Stream. An unknown suspect(s) also slashed the front driver's side tire of another vehicle parked on this same road on Jan. 19.
  • An unknown suspect(s) broke the windshield of a vehicle parked at International Shops on Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream between Jan. 18 and Jan. 19.
  • An unknown suspect(s) broke the wipers of a vehicle parked on Chestnut Street in Oceanside between Jan. 19 and Jan. 20.
  • An unknown suspect(s) scratched the hood and the passenger side of a vehicle parked on First Avenue in Franklin Square on Jan. 21.
  • An unknown suspect(s) damaged the trunk and rear lights of a vehicle parked on Brookfield Road in Valley Stream on Jan. 22.
