Nassau PD: DWI Charges, Window Damaged by BB Gun

A rundown of recent crimes and arrests reported in the Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Arrests
 

- On August 10 at 10:45 p.m., Samuel Hicks, 25, of Wyandanch, was arrested on Franklin Avenue in Lynbrook and charged with driving while intoxicated. 

- On August 11 at 1:30 a.m., Nicholas Leone, 19, of Malverne, was arrested on Nassau Boulevard and charged with driving while intoxicated.

- On August 11 at 5:20 a.m., Oscar Meza Hernandez, 22, of Huntington Station, was arrested on Hempstead Turnpike and Mayfair Avenue in West Hempstead and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and six violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

- On August 11 at 1:50 a.m., Christina Athan, 21, of Franklin Square, was arrested on 2nd Avenue in East Rockaway and charged with driving while intoxicated and one violation of the vehicle and traffic law.

- On August 13 at 1:49 a.m., Peter Sabilia, 53, of Yardley, PA, was arrested on Roosevelt Boulevard and Nassau Boulevard and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the vehicle traffic law.

Case Reports 

- Sometime between August 9 at 6 p.m. and August 11 at 8:30 a.m., an unknown suspect broke a window of complainant’s vehicle and removed power tools.

- On August 7 at 8:57 p.m., a complainant discovered a BB size hole in their front window on Lawrence Street in East Rockaway.
