Nassau PD: Shoplifting Arrests, Multiple Bikes Stolen

A weekly rundown of crimes committed in West Hempstead, Lakeview, N. Lynbrook and the rest of the recently realigned Fourth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

PETIT LARCENIES

  • An unknown suspect removed a bicycle from the driveway of a Hunnewell Avenue home in Elmont sometime between Sept. 21 and Sept. 24.
  • Victoria Gold, of Long Beach, was arrested on Sept. 25 for allegedly shoplifting at the Kohl's store on Long Beach Road in Oceanside.
  • Sarah Guzman and Lorena Aguilera, both of Lynbrook, were arrested on Sept. 22 for allegedly shoplifting at the Easy Pickins store on Green Acres Road in Valley Stream.
  • A bicycle was stolen on Sept. 26 from a location on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.
  • An unknown person stole a bicycle on Sept. 26 from the front of an Atherton Avenue home in Elmont.
  • Victim reported leaving his bicycle and helmet on the deck of a residence located on Westminister Road in Cedarhurst on Sept. 25 with lock attached. An unknown suspect entered backyard and stole the property. Another bicycle was stolen from the backyard of another home located on the same street two days later.
  • Dominique M. Jackson, of Valley Stream, was arrested on Sept. 29 for allegedly shoplifting at the H&M store located at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • Nadine Palmer-Baxter, of Jamaica, Queens, was arrested on Sept. 29 for allegedly shoplifting from the Kohl's store at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
  • Tricia Ali-White, of Jamaica, Queens, was arrested on Sept. 30 for allegedly shoplifting from the Macy's store at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.

LARCENIES

  • An unknown person(s) broke into a work van parked on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont between Sept. 27 and Sept. 28 and removed tools.
  • Sunglasses and loose change was removed by an unknown person(s) from a vehicle parked on in the driveway of a home on Avalon Road in Hewlett and another car parked on Herrick Drive in Lawrence between Sept. 29 and Sept. 30.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

  • An unknown person(s) caused damage to the front windshield of a vehicle parked on Second Avenue in Franklin Square between Sept. 25 and Sept. 26.
