Three Charged With Possession of Graffiti Materials

Lynbrook police arrest three Freeport men on Sunrise Highway.

Three Freeport men were arrested in Lynbrook last week for possession of various graffiti materials, Lynbrook police reported.

Daniel Vasquez, 19, David Medrano, 19, and Joel Emil Baez, 20, all of Freeport, N.Y., were stopped by police after making an illegal left turn on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook on Feb. 24 at 3:20 a.m. That's when officers discovered the materials, said Lynbrook police chief Joseph Neve.

"They saw numerous spray paint cans inside the car," Neve said. "[The subjects] had black paint on their fingers and some had it on their clothes."

At this time, Neve said there is no evidence that the three men sprayed graffiti anywhere in Lynbrook. They have all been charged with Possession of Graffiti Instruments. Vasquez was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
