On Nov. 8, residents in Lynbrook and East Rockaway will have the chance to vote for candidates for the Nassau County Legislature and Hempstead Town government.

All residents will have the opportunity to vote for the positions of Hempstead Town Supervisor (Kate Murray vs. Gary Port), Clerk () and Receiver of Taxes ().

Residents in the Town of Hempstead's 3rd Councilmanic District, which includes portions of Lynbrook, can vote for either incumbent James Darcy or challenger Owen Rumelt.

In the , which covers Lynbrook, North Lynbrook and parts of East Rockaway, Francis X. Becker runs for re-election against challenger Anthony Gonzalez of Valley Stream.

In the , which covers parts of East Rockaway and Bay Park, Republican incumbant Howard Kopel faces former district court judge Adam Moser.
