Port Authority Official to Speak at TVASNAC Meeting

Ralph Tragale, assistant director of Aviation, will discuss impacts of construction at JFK airport.

A top official for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will be one of the guest speakers at Monday's meeting of the Town-Village Aircraft Safety and Noise Abatement Committee.

Ralph Tragale, assistant director of Aviation for the Port Authority, will attend the Sept. 24 meeting, which will be held at the Town of Hempstead Town Hall Pavilion, located at 1 Washington St., Hempstead. Tragale and Jim Steven, JFK Manager of Physical Plant and Redevelopment, will both discuss how construction projects at nearby John F. Kennedy Airport will impact runway usage (and noise) in surrounding communities.

The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. All residents concerned about air traffic conditions in their community are encouraged to attend.
