The uncontested village elections in both Malverne and Lynbrook went off without a hitch Tuesday, as all six candidates seeking re-election were voted back into their positions.

Deputy Mayor Joseph Hennessy and Trustee John O'Brien were both re-elected in Malverne to four-year terms with 160 and 168 votes, respectively.

James Frankie, who was recently appointed as Malverne's village justice following the death of Judge James Dougherty, received 166 votes and was re-elected to retain his seat for the two years that remain of Dougherty's term

In Lynbrook, trustees Hilary Becker and Michael Hawxhurst were both re-elected to four-year terms on the village board.

William McLaughlin was also re-elected as Lynbrook village justice. He has served as village justice since 1997.
