Go Green to Earn Green for West Hempstead Schools

Recycle your paper and cardboard to raise funds for the West Hempstead school district this holiday season.

All those catalogs you've been receiving this season, wrapping paper and cardboard shipping boxes can be turned into cash for your local school district.

Starting on Dec. 19 and continuing throughout the holiday season, the West Hempstead school district's Green Team is holding a recycling fundraiser. Just bring your cardboard, junk mail, newspapers, magazines, copy paper and wrapping paper to a special dumpster located at the north end of the Middle School parking lot starting this Monday.

The Green Team is working with Royal Recycling Solutions and sales of the recycled material will be donated to the school district.
