Lynbrook Public Schools will be hosting a Parent Academy on two days in March.
The first session will take place on Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at South Middle School, located at 333 Union Ave. in Lynbrook. There will be an encore presentation on Wednesday, March 13 at 10 a.m. at West End Elementary School, located at 30 Clark Ave. in Lynbrook.
Parents of students in grades K-5 are invited to attend to learn how the district is integrating English language arts into the social studies curriculum.
Student volunteers will also be presenting writing projects that are aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards.
