The Malverne Educational and Fitness Foundation honored several teachers with mini-grants to provide creative and financial support for innovative programs in the classroom, at the June 11 meeting of the Malverne Board of Education.
Foundation member Phyllis Wright was on hand to personally distribute the grants, which totaled $2,750 and supported a physical education and special education grant for two teachers.
