Registration to Be Held for Malverne Pre-K Program

The Saturday pre-k program takes place on Saturday's in October and November; registration starts next Saturday.

The Malverne Union Free School District announces a Saturday morning program for preschool children with a focus on language improvement, cognitive growth and social development.

Instructed by certified elementary teachers, children who were 3 or 4 years of age by Dec. 1, 2012 and who are toilet trained are eligible to participate in the program. The program is free for interested Malverne School District residents and will be held at the Maurice W. Downing Primary School (55 Lindner Place, Malverne) from 9-11 a.m. on the following seven Saturdays: Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 and Nov. 2, 9 and 16.

Registration for the program will take place in the main lobby of the Maurice W. Downing Primary School on Saturday, Sept. 21 and Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; and on Wednesday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, Oct. 3 from 3:15-5:15 p.m.

 In order to register, you must bring the following documents: driver’s license, mortgage papers/deed (lease agreement with notarized affidavit, if you rent), current utility bill, school tax receipt, updated immunization papers and the child’s original birth certificate.
