After months of discussion - from workshops to public hearings to board meetings and debates - Malverne school district residents will finally vote Tuesday on the proposed 2012-2013 school budget, Proposition #2 and two seats on the Board of Education.

  • The Budget: The $48,597,767 proposed budget for the 2012-2013 school budget is  2.29 percent higher than the 2011-2012 budget and has a projected tax levy increase of 2.44 percent, which stays under the tax cap permitted under New York State law.   • Roof Repairs: Proposition 2 will decide whether the school district is authorized to appropriate and spend to $312,000 from its Capital Reserve Fund to repair the gymnaisum roof at Malverne High School. for details.
