West Hempstead School Board To Discuss Candidates For Vacant Seat

The West Hempstead Board of Education will hold a special business meeting Tuesday night at the administration building on Chestnut Street.

The public is permitted to attend the brief special business meetin, which starts at 7 p.m., but then the board will adjourn into executive session to discuss "matters leading to the possible appointment of a particular individual to the vacant board seat."

The seat became vacant over the summer when Trustee Anthony Brita resigned. residents learned that the board would either fill the vacancy by making an appointment or leave it empty after the deadline to hold a special election passed.

In tonight's executive session they will also be discussing a personal matter pertaining to the employment record of a particular individual.
