West Hempstead Chiefs Hosting Free Soccer Clinics

Program open to boys and girls ages 4 to 12.

One of the best parts about Fall is the return of soccer and the West Hempstead Chiefs are kicking off their season by hosting free clinics for kids in the community.

The clinics, which will be held this Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Chestnut Street School fields, are open to boys and girls, ages 4 to 12. Younger kids (Pre-K to Grade 1) can participate in the 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. clinic. It will be followed by a second clinic, held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., for kids in Grades 2 to 6.

The clinic will feature skills instruction from ASAP Sports. Each child will learn soccer skills along with important traits such as teamwork, character and sportsmanship. The Chiefs' goal is for every child to come away loving the beautiful sport of soccer.

Registration for the Chiefs' Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 soccer seasons will also take place during the clinics. The Chiefs run intramural programs for Kindergartners and first through ninth graders, as well as a 4-year-old program. (A description of each of the levels is attached and can be viewed under the PDFs section located at the top right.)
