The girls recently got a lesson in health education and fitness at L.E.A.R.N. in Baldwin.

Girl Scout Troop #2205 recently took a trip to L.E.A.R.N. Fitness in Baldwin, which is run by Lynbrook resident

The girls participated in a fun hour and a half trip that included a 30-minute health-education lesson and 30-minute exercise, which allowed the girl scouts to receive their fitness patch.

The girls received a calendar to bring home to continue to set health goals for themselves, and the exercise included a cardiovascular warm-up, an age appropriate circuit training, relay races, tag games and stretching and a cool down. The girls then shared a snack of whole wheat pizza and water.
