Joseph Cimino, Neighbor

My name is Joseph Cimino, or Joey C, as my friends call me. I grew up in Lynbrook, NY and graduated from Lynbrook High School.  

I was born into the flooring industry, with the family business dating back to the 60’s, and I started learning the ropes when I was 14 years old. After working several years to perfect my skills and taking Business Administration courses, I opened my own flooring company, Avista Hardwood Flooring. My company has become a well known entity on Long Island, and I am looking to expand the business eventually to other aspects of flooring. Besides flooring, I really enjoy working with my hands, and I find it rewarding to teach others how to build and fix things for themselves.  

I also am co-owner of Boutique Noir (www.shopboutiquenoir.com), a website for women's clothing, with my business partner and wife, Sandra D. Cimino.
