Hey everyone! My name is Kristie Lengel and I am a young entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast from Lynbrook High School Class of 2007. I am currently the owner of a family fitness and nutrition facility in Baldwin, NY called L.E.A.R.N. (Learning Exercise, Activity and the Right Nutrition). Our mission is to educate children, adolescents and adults how to eat, think and exercise the "LEARN" way. The obesity rate in the United States has reached epidemic proportions.  Experts in the medical profession predict that our current generation of children will be the first not to outlive their parents.  In Nassau County alone the obesity rate for children under the age of 18 is approximately 20%.  This is a staggering number.
