Division

Football: Two late defensive stops at the line spelled the difference in a 14-12 win for Division over Valley Stream South. With Division (5-2) leading14-6 late in the fourth, Valley Stream scored a touchdown, but linebacker Petey Greene, who had nine tackles, an interception and a blocked kick, stopped the two-point attempt to keep his team in the lead. Football: Lynbrook had a different plan coming into Saturday at Lawrence. Unfortunately for the Owls (5-2), only one running game got going on the day. The Owls will have an even tougher task next week of stopping undefeated Bethpage to wrap up the schedule.
