Malverne, West Hempstead Compete in Track and Field Championships

Justin Boatwright placed second in the 200-meter event.

The 2011 Nassau County Track and Field Championship kicked off on May 24 at Cold Spring Harbor High School for an exciting two-day event to crown the top competitors in multiple events for three separate classes (AAA, AA, A).

“This event has been very well received and we were fortunate to get this facility to host. The teams have been great, the competition has been great and the times have been great,” said Tournament Director Bob Bush. “There were a lot of people to come out and just to see the support that the parents give their kids is really great as well.”

Here's how the teams from Malverne and West Hempstead fared in the County Championship.
